homework avoidance
Ducking schoolwork deliberately
Homework avoidance is the deliberate postponement or evasion of assigned schoolwork, often through distraction or procrastination: My homework avoidance has reached new heights—I reorganized my entire closet instead of writing that essay.
The term acknowledges the behavior as a recognizable pattern rather than simple laziness, sometimes with self-aware humor.
