hidden layers
Network's internal processors
Hidden layers are the intermediate processing stages in a neural network, positioned between the input layer (which receives data) and the output layer (which produces results).
Each hidden layer transforms information through weighted connections and activation functions, extracting increasingly abstract features.
A network with multiple hidden layers is called a "deep" neural network—the origin of "deep learning." The model's hidden layers learned to recognize edges, then shapes, then faces.
