hidden folder
Invisible file container
A hidden folder is a directory on a computer that doesn't appear in normal file listings.
Operating systems hide certain folders by default to protect system files from accidental deletion, but users can also hide folders to keep contents private or reduce clutter.
Hidden folders can typically be revealed through system settings: I found the missing files in a hidden folder.
