goldstone

Copper-flecked synthetic gem

Goldstone is a type of glittering glass made with copper or other metallic particles suspended in it, creating a sparkling effect that resembles a night sky full of stars.

Despite the name, it contains no gold.

The reddish-brown variety is most common, though blue and green versions exist.

Goldstone is used in jewelry and decorative objects, sometimes marketed as a semiprecious stone though it's entirely synthetic.
