future endeavor

Planned upcoming project

Future endeavor is a formal phrase for whatever someone does next—typically after leaving a job, organization, or relationship.

The expression appears almost exclusively in polite farewells: We wish her well in her future endeavors.

In corporate contexts, "pursuing other endeavors" has become a euphemism for being fired or forced out, giving the phrase a slightly ironic edge.
