frocked
Dressed in clergy
Frocked means dressed in a frock—a gown, robe, or dress.
The word appears most often in religious contexts: a frocked priest has been formally invested with clerical office and its vestments.
The opposite, defrocked, means stripped of that office.
Outside religious use, frocked simply means wearing a frock or dress: the frocked bridesmaids lined up for photos.
