fire bringer
Flame-delivering mythical figure
A fire bringer is one who brings fire to humanity—most famously Prometheus, who stole fire from the gods and gave it to mortals.
The term extends to anyone who delivers transformative knowledge, technology, or enlightenment, often at personal cost: She was the fire bringer who introduced the internet to rural villages.
The image carries notes of rebellion and sacrifice.
