fake badge
Fraudulent authority symbol
A fake badge is a counterfeit or unauthorized replica of an official credential—typically law enforcement, security, or government identification.
Possessing one with intent to deceive is a crime in most jurisdictions.
The term also applies to novelty items clearly marked as toys or props: The costume came with a fake badge and plastic handcuffs.
