e-ticketing
Paperless travel passes
E-ticketing is the use of electronic tickets instead of paper ones.
The ticket exists as a digital record rather than a physical document—confirmation comes via email or app, and a barcode or QR code serves as proof of purchase.
Common for airlines, concerts, and transit systems: E-ticketing has made boarding passes largely paperless.
