drop-sets
Descending resistance technique
Drop-sets are a weightlifting technique where you perform an exercise to failure, immediately reduce the weight, and continue without rest.
The method extends time under tension and increases muscle fatigue: I finished my bicep curls with two drop-sets.
Also called descending sets or strip sets.
