Double parks means to park a vehicle alongside another that is already parked at the curb, blocking it in.
The practice is illegal in most places but common in congested cities where parking is scarce: I'll just double park for a minute while you run in.
Double-parked cars force traffic to squeeze around them and trap other drivers until the offender returns.
