do one's business

Use the toilet

Do one's business is a euphemism for urinating or defecating, used especially when speaking to or about children or pets: The dog needs to go outside to do his business.

The phrase also has an older, non-euphemistic sense of attending to one's affairs or completing a task: She did her business at the bank and left.
