do-nothings

People avoiding work

Do-nothings are people who are idle or unproductive, especially those who avoid taking action when action is needed.

The term carries contempt, often applied to politicians or officials perceived as ineffective: Congress is full of do-nothings who won't pass meaningful legislation.

A do-nothing is a single such person.
