dispraise
Speak ill of
Dispraise is criticism or censure—the opposite of praise.
The word appears as both noun and verb: The coach's dispraise stung more than silence would have; to dispraise someone's efforts.
Literary and somewhat old-fashioned, it survives mostly in formal or deliberately archaic contexts.
