disassembly line
Deconstruction conveyor system
A disassembly line is a production process that takes apart products rather than putting them together—the reverse of an assembly line.
The term applies to industrial recycling operations, slaughterhouses where animal carcasses are broken down into cuts, and any systematic deconstruction process: Cars at the scrapyard move through a disassembly line where workers strip parts for resale.
