desertlike
Dry and sandy
Desertlike describes something resembling a desert—arid, barren, or sparsely vegetated.
The word applies to landscapes that share characteristics with deserts without technically being one: The drought left the farmland desertlike.
It can also describe atmospheres or conditions that feel dry and empty: the desertlike air of the overheated office.
