country club set
Golf course regulars
The country club set refers to wealthy, socially exclusive people who belong to private clubs—the kind with golf courses, tennis courts, and membership fees that filter out the middle class.
The term usually carries a whiff of disdain, suggesting people insulated by privilege: The country club set wouldn't understand what it's like to worry about rent.
