coregulate
Jointly manage responses
To coregulate is to regulate together or mutually.
In psychology and child development, coregulation describes how people help each other manage emotional states—a parent soothing a distressed infant, partners calming each other during conflict: Babies can't self-regulate; they need caregivers to coregulate with them.
The term also appears in biology and policy contexts where multiple systems or agencies share regulatory functions.
