community tank
Multi-species fish home
A community tank is an aquarium housing multiple fish species that coexist peacefully.
The term distinguishes these setups from species-only tanks or breeding tanks: Tetras and corydoras make good community tank mates.
Selecting compatible species—similar in temperament, water requirements, and size—is central to community tank keeping.
