commemorative issue
Special tribute printing
A commemorative issue is a special edition of stamps, coins, or currency produced to honor a person, event, or anniversary.
These are typically released in limited quantities and often become collector's items: The post office released a commemorative issue for the moon landing's 50th anniversary.
The term also applies to special editions of magazines or publications marking significant occasions.
