co-evolving
Changing together reciprocally
Co-evolving describes two or more things developing together in ways that influence each other's development.
The term comes from biology, where species co-evolve when changes in one drive adaptations in another: Flowering plants and their pollinators have been co-evolving for millions of years.
The concept extends to any reciprocal development—technologies, ideas, or social systems that shape each other as they change: Language and culture are constantly co-evolving.
