central London

Heart of metropolis

Central London is the innermost area of London, encompassing the historic core and major landmarks—Westminster, the City, the West End.

The term has no official boundary but generally means the zone within a few miles of Charing Cross, traditionally considered London's center: Property prices in central London are astronomical.

Also called inner London, though that term sometimes extends further.
