celibates
Vowed to abstinence
Celibates are people who abstain from sexual activity, typically by choice or religious vow.
The word can also refer to unmarried people, though this older sense has largely given way to the sexual meaning: The monastery housed twelve celibates.
Some celibates take permanent vows; others practice temporary abstinence.
