carved panels
Ornate wooden sections
Carved panels are flat sections of wood, stone, or other material decorated with designs cut into the surface.
They appear in architectural settings—doors, walls, ceilings—and on furniture.
The carving may be ornamental patterns, figurative scenes, or text: The altar featured carved panels depicting the life of Christ.
Victorian carved panels flanked the fireplace.
