Slang for redhead
A carrottop is a person with red or orange hair, from the resemblance to the leafy green tops of carrots—which are, confusingly, not orange.
The term is mildly teasing but rarely hostile: The carrottop in the front row raised her hand.
Also spelled carrot-top or carrot top.
