burlesque troupe
Risqué variety performers
A burlesque troupe is a group of performers who stage burlesque shows—variety entertainment featuring striptease, comedy, and theatrical spectacle.
Modern troupes typically emphasize campy humor, elaborate costumes, and vintage aesthetics: The burlesque troupe performed every Saturday at the downtown lounge.
Members often adopt stage personas and develop signature acts.
