blow one's own trumpet

Boast about oneself

To blow one's own trumpet is to boast about one's achievements or abilities, to sing one's own praises.

The image is of a herald announcing someone's arrival with a fanfare—except you're doing it for yourself: He's always blowing his own trumpet about his sales figures.

More common in British English; Americans tend to say "toot one's own horn."
