big-head

Inflated sense of self

Big-head is informal for an inflated sense of one's own importance or abilities—essentially, a swelled ego.

Someone with a big head thinks too highly of themselves: Don't let the promotion give you a big-head.

The term can also describe the person themselves: He's such a big-head about his test scores.
