bent pins
Curved metal points
Bent pins are connector pins that have been accidentally curved or angled, preventing proper insertion into sockets or ports.
A common frustration with older computer hardware, CPUs, and cable connectors: The CPU wouldn't seat because of bent pins.
Careful straightening with tweezers or a mechanical pencil can sometimes save the component.
