bat box
Nocturnal mammal housing
A bat box is a wooden structure designed to shelter roosting bats, similar to a birdhouse but with a narrow opening at the bottom rather than a round hole.
Homeowners and conservationists install them to encourage bats, which consume large quantities of insects: We put up a bat box to help with the mosquitoes.
