banana clips
Bent rifle magazines
Banana clips have two unrelated meanings.
One is a curved hair accessory, popular in the 1980s, that gathers hair vertically at the back of the head—its shape resembles a banana.
The other is a curved ammunition magazine, typically for assault rifles, whose arc allows cartridges to feed smoothly: The AK-47's banana clip holds thirty rounds.
