back gates
Secondary property access
Back gates are secondary entrances at the rear of a property, opposite the main or front gate.
They typically provide service access, privacy, or a shortcut: The delivery driver used the back gate.
Figuratively, a back gate can mean an unofficial or circumventing route to something: He got the job through the back gate—his uncle knew the CEO.
