baby bat
Newborn cave flyer
A baby bat is a young person new to goth subculture—someone still learning the music, fashion, and aesthetic sensibilities that define the scene.
The term is affectionate rather than dismissive, acknowledging that everyone starts somewhere: We were all baby bats once.
Like a bat not yet able to fly, they're finding their wings.
