all-seater
Every spectator seated
An all-seater is a sports stadium or arena where every spectator has an assigned seat, with no standing-room sections.
The term emerged in British football following safety reforms after stadium disasters in the 1980s, when terraces—open standing areas—were phased out at top-tier grounds.
The club converted to an all-seater stadium in 1994.
The designation now appears in regulations governing major sports venues worldwide.
