Unchained Melody
Freed musical piece
"Unchained Melody" is a 1955 song that became one of the most recorded melodies of the twentieth century.
Originally written for a prison film called *Unchained*, the song found its greatest fame through the Righteous Brothers' 1965 version, later revived by the romantic pottery scene in *Ghost* (1990).
The title refers not to the melody being unchained but to the film it was composed for.
