The Secret
What's being concealed
The Secret is a 2006 self-help book and film by Rhonda Byrne promoting the "law of attraction"—the idea that positive or negative thoughts bring corresponding experiences into your life.
The work claims that visualizing desired outcomes can manifest wealth, health, and success.
She's really into The Secret.
The title has become shorthand for this brand of magical thinking, often invoked skeptically: Just think positive and the universe will provide? That's some Secret nonsense.
