The Entertainer

One who amuses

A ragtime piano composition by Scott Joplin, published in 1902, that became one of the most recognizable pieces of American music after its use in the 1973 film *The Sting*.

Its syncopated melody is instantly identifiable: The ice cream truck played The Entertainer as it rolled down the street.

The title also refers to anyone whose profession is to amuse an audience.
