Steinbrenner
Bronx Bombers boss
Steinbrenner refers to George Steinbrenner (1930–2010), the combative owner of the New York Yankees from 1973 until his death.
His name became shorthand for demanding, high-spending, win-at-all-costs sports ownership.
He fired and rehired manager Billy Martin five times.
He runs that franchise like Steinbrenner—big money, big expectations, no patience.
