Lullaby and Goodnight

Famous cradle melody

Lullaby and Goodnight is the common English title for a famous cradle song composed by Johannes Brahms in 1868, also known as Brahms' Lullaby or by its German title "Wiegenlied." The gentle melody has become synonymous with bedtime and is perhaps the most recognized lullaby in Western culture: She hummed Lullaby and Goodnight to the baby.

The tune appears in countless music boxes, crib mobiles, and children's toys.
