Detroit Zoo
Motor City animals
The Detroit Zoo is a zoological park in Royal Oak, Michigan, just north of Detroit.
Opened in 1928, it was the first American zoo to use barless exhibits extensively, displaying animals in naturalistic habitats rather than cages.
We took the kids to the Detroit Zoo to see the polar bears.
