Clarabelle

Goofy's bovine friend

Clarabelle is a feminine given name, a combination of Clara (meaning bright or clear) and Belle (meaning beautiful).

It appears most famously as Clarabell the Clown, the silent, horn-honking character from the 1950s children's television show *Howdy Doody*.

The name has an old-fashioned, whimsical quality: Little Clarabelle chased butterflies through the garden.
