Cabbage Patch Kid
Soft sculptured toy
Cabbage Patch Kids are soft-bodied dolls with round vinyl faces and yarn hair, each sold with a unique name and "adoption papers." The dolls sparked a buying frenzy during the 1983 holiday season, with shoppers fighting over limited supplies.
The name comes from the brand's origin story that the dolls were born in a cabbage patch: She still has her original Cabbage Patch Kid from the eighties.
