Being Human

Our shared condition

Being Human is a phrase that captures what distinguishes human existence from mere biological life—the full experience of mortality, emotion, connection, and fallibility.

It often appears when acknowledging limitations or shared vulnerability: Mistakes are part of being human.

The phrase can celebrate what makes us distinct—creativity, empathy, moral reasoning—or serve as gentle excuse for weakness: I got angry. I'm only human.

To be human is to be imperfect, mortal, and conscious of both.
