Beijing Olympics

China's hosted Games

The Beijing Olympics refers to either of two Olympic Games hosted by Beijing, China—the Summer Olympics in 2008 or the Winter Olympics in 2022.

Beijing became the first city to host both summer and winter games.

The 2008 games are remembered for spectacular opening ceremonies and Michael Phelps's eight gold medals; the 2022 games were marked by COVID restrictions and political boycotts over human rights concerns.
