Asian music
Oriental musical traditions
Asian music encompasses the musical traditions of Asia's diverse cultures, from Indian classical ragas to Chinese opera, Japanese koto, Indonesian gamelan, and Korean pansori.
The term is broad to the point of vagueness, grouping distinct traditions mainly by continental geography.
In Western pop contexts, it often refers specifically to K-pop, J-pop, and C-pop: She listens to a lot of Asian music—mostly Korean girl groups.
