African savannas
Grasslands with acacia
African savannas are tropical grasslands with scattered trees, covering much of sub-Saharan Africa.
These ecosystems support iconic wildlife—elephants, lions, zebras, giraffes—and are characterized by distinct wet and dry seasons.
The Serengeti and Maasai Mara are famous examples.
The documentary captured wildebeest migrating across the African savanna.
