3D mammogram
Tomosynthesis breast imaging
A 3D mammogram is a breast X-ray that captures multiple images from different angles, creating a layered, three-dimensional view of breast tissue.
Also called breast tomosynthesis, it allows radiologists to examine tissue slice by slice, making it easier to detect tumors that might be obscured in traditional flat images: The doctor recommended a 3D mammogram because of my dense breast tissue.
