weather forecasters

Climate prediction professionals

Weather forecasters are people who predict atmospheric conditions—temperature, precipitation, wind, and storms.

The term covers both professional meteorologists who analyze data and models, and media personalities who present forecasts on television or radio: The weather forecasters are calling for snow this weekend.

Also called weathermen or weatherwomen, though forecaster avoids gendered language.
