untrainable
Resistant to instruction
Untrainable describes someone or something that cannot be taught or conditioned to perform desired behaviors.
A dog might be called untrainable if it refuses to follow commands despite repeated efforts.
The word often carries a note of frustration or resignation: After three trainers quit, they accepted the horse was untrainable.
Applied to people, it suggests stubbornness or inability to learn particular skills.
