unrefreshing
Left you drained
Unrefreshing describes something that fails to restore energy, vitality, or a sense of renewal.
Sleep is the most common subject: I woke after eight hours but it was completely unrefreshing.
The term appears frequently in medical contexts, particularly regarding chronic fatigue syndrome and similar conditions where patients report unrefreshing sleep despite adequate duration.
A break, vacation, or drink might also be described as unrefreshing if it leaves you feeling no better than before.
